Steve Smith – Founder / Director of ConstructionWith more than 35 years of experience in Construction Management, Steve comes from a diversified background spanning all types and scopes of construction. He has extensive experience in all phases of construction spanning from preplanning and conceptual molding to post-occupancy services from the smallest projects to multimillion dollar facilities.

Matt Mortimer – Director of OperationsMatt Mortimer began his journey with Denco as a valued customer, where we successfully built and remodeled numerous restaurants for his company. With a distinguished 23-year career in the restaurant industry, Matt has overseen many finish outs and remodels, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to Denco. His strong knowledge of the intricacies involved in completing challenging projects makes him an invaluable asset to our team. Andrew Richey – Director of Construction, Central TexasAndrew has spent twenty years working as a project manager on three continents in various businesses ranging from real estate to advertisement and entertainment. He brings this broad, cross-cultural knowledge to help business owners tackle any problem that may arise - while positioning their business for the greatest success long after the doors open.

Emilie Shaulis – Controller / Director of Project ManagementEmilie has over three decades of construction administration and project management experience. With Emilie’s history in the construction field, she works to guarantee that all stakeholders of the project are up-to-date and that the project is well documented. Working hand in hand with all members of the construction team, she believes that communication is the overall primary element in a project’s success. She started in the construction industry as a temp to hire, learning all facets of the project from the ground up. From the beginning, Emilie experienced the love and pride of a project well done.

Michelle Richey – Project Manager, Central TexasAn Austin Native, Michelle retired after twenty years as a 911 dispatcher, bringing comfort to victims while helping keep them safe. She has also worked as a construction and real estate manager for twelve years. She is proud of her service to the community and with that history there are few situations that surprise her. She enjoys putting her calming demeanor to work to help those in her community take their businesses to the next level. She believes our partners are an extension of our family and treats them as such.

Bonnie “Cami” Daniels – Project CoordinatorCami received her Commercial/Residential Construction Management Certification through Collin College and has 24 years of customer service experience. She is a part of the Tri Cities Elks Lodge and the VFW Post 5076 Auxiliary Secretary and Recruitment Coordinator.
She loves researching and reading, and loves tracking down all those quirky things clients request. She also loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends. |
Gerardo Rodriguez Sr – SuperintendentStarted in construction at a young age placing concrete. He started working with Denco and has overseen hundreds of restaurant, offices, and college remodels. Over the years he enjoyed learning other trades and handling other roles within the company.
Since 2018, he has been our lead superintendent elevating Denco’s jobs to the next level in quality workmanship. He enjoyed working Denco so much, he brought his son on to work with him. When not working, he spends his time focused on his loving family. |
Gerardo Rodriguez Jr – Director of Field OperationsJunior started working construction at age 15 framing apartment buildings and custom homes.
In 2010 at the age 24 he started working with Denco, joining his father. Since then he has lead hundreds of projects, building restaurants medical offices and remodeling colleges. Junior enjoys supporting job sites and making sure his team has what it needs to deliver quality construction on time with the highest quality of work. He is a dedicated family man, who most enjoys spending time with his loving parents and wonderful sons. |
